Method
Prep
- 1
- 2
Thinly slice an apple and cut a lime wheel for garnish. Chill the serving glass if desired.
Mixing & Shake
- 3
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice to chill.
- 4
Add 2 oz Grey Whale Gin, 2 oz apple cider, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz triple sec, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (only if your cider is very tart) to the shaker.
- 5
Add 1 dash Angostura bitters to round the flavors.
- 6
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10β15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and well diluted.
Serve
- 7
Fill a rocks glass (or coupe if preferred) with fresh ice (if serving on the rocks) or leave neat for a coupe.
- 8
Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass to remove ice shards and any pulp for a clean pour.
- 9
Garnish with a thin apple slice slid onto the rim and a lime wheel. Optionally express a lime peel over the drink for aromatic oils.
- 10
Serve immediately. Enjoy your Apple Ginarita.
