Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Garlic Butter
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in oregano, salt, and pepper.

Slice the Baguette
Cut the French baguette into 6 equal pieces, slicing each piece horizontally.

Assemble the Melts
Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on the cut sides of the baguette pieces. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over each piece. If using, add pepperoni, green chiles, or any additional toppings.

Bake
Place the prepared baguette pieces on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and serve hot with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
