Pita Bread and Za’atar Mixture
Preparation
Preparation and Toasting
1. Prepare the Mixture
In a small bowl, combine the za'tar spice blend and sesame seeds.
2. Add Olive Oil
Drizzle the olive oil into the za'tar and sesame seed mixture. Stir until well combined.
3. Prepare Pita Bread
Cut each pita bread in half to create pockets or leave them whole for a crispier texture.
4. Brush the Mixture
Using a brush, evenly spread the za'tar and olive oil mixture over the surface of each pita.
5. Toast the Pita
Preheat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Toast the pita on both sides until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Serve
Remove from heat and serve warm, either whole or cut into wedges.
