Fried Cauliflower
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower. Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Gradually add water while stirring until a smooth batter forms.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
- 4
Coat and Fry
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Carefully place the battered florets into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Once fried, remove the cauliflower from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with tahini sauce.
