Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until fully blended.

  3. 3

    Combine Batter

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.

  2. 5

    Cook Pancakes

For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet. Top with blueberries, banana slices, or chocolate chips as desired. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Hot

Serve pancakes immediately with syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream if desired.
