Method

Omelette Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together until well combined. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Cook the Omelette

In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet, tilting the pan to spread them evenly. Let cook for about 2 minutes until the edges start to set.

  3. 3

    Add Fillings

Once the eggs are mostly set, add the diced ham and cheddar jack cheese to one half of the omelette. Gently fold the other half over the fillings and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  4. 4

    Serve

Slide the omelette onto a plate and keep warm while preparing hash browns and toast.

Hash Browns Preparation

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Cook the Hash Browns

Add the frozen hash brown potatoes to the skillet, spreading them out evenly. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes on the other side until crispy.

Toast Preparation

  1. 7

    Toast the Bread

While the hash browns are cooking, toast the slices of bread in a toaster until golden brown. Spread butter on each slice while hot.
