Sashimi Preparation
- 1
Select and Prepare the Fish
Ensure that the fish is of the highest quality, fresh, and sushi-grade. Rinse the fish under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Slice the Fish
Using a sharp knife, slice the fish against the grain into thin, even slices (about 1/4 inch thick).
- 3
Arrange on a Plate
Artfully arrange the slices of fish on a chilled plate, making sure to create a visually appealing presentation.
- 4
Add Garnishes
Place small amounts of wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. Garnish with microgreens or edible flowers for color and elegance.
- 5
Serve with Soy Sauce
Serve the sashimi with a small bowl of soy sauce for dipping.
