Method
Bread Pudding Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the brioche bread into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly in a greased baking dish.
- 2
Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined.
- 3
Combine Mixture
Pour the wet mixture over the torn brioche bread, ensuring all pieces are soaked. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and toasted macadamia nuts.
- 4
Bake the Pudding
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 5
Prepare the Crème Anglaise
While the pudding is baking, prepare the Jack Daniels crème anglaise. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of heavy cream with 1/2 cup of milk until just boiling. In a separate bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks and 1/2 cup of sugar until pale. Slowly pour the hot cream mixture into the yolk mixture while whisking continuously. Return to the saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened. Stir in 2-3 tbsp of Jack Daniels.
- 6
Serve
Once the bread pudding is done, let it cool slightly before serving warm, drizzled with the Jack Daniels crème anglaise.
