Method

Turkey

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your smoker or oven to 325°F (160°C). Rub the turkey breast with olive oil, and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

  2. 2

    Smoke and Roast

Place the turkey breast in the smoker or oven, and pour chicken broth into the pan. Smoke for about 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste occasionally.

Cornbread Dressing

  1. 3

    Prepare the Dressing

In a skillet, sauté onion and celery until soft. In a large bowl, combine crumbled cornbread, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, sage, thyme, salt, black pepper, and beaten eggs. Mix well.

  2. 4

    Bake the Dressing

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

Green Bean Casserole

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 6

    Top and Bake

Transfer to a greased casserole dish. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes. Top with French fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes until onions are crispy.

Sweet or Mashed Potatoes

  1. 7

    Cook the Potatoes

Boil peeled and cubed potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 8

    Mash or Sweeten

Add butter, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mash until smooth (or leave chunky if preferred), and serve warm.

Cranberry Sauce

  1. 9

    Cook the Cranberries

In a saucepan, combine fresh cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until cranberries burst (about 10 minutes).

  2. 10

    Add Flavor

Stir in orange zest and cinnamon. Allow to cool before serving.
