Loaded Potato Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Bake the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and scrub the potatoes, then poke several holes in each potato with a fork. Place them directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-60 minutes until tender.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Toppings

While the potatoes are baking, prepare the toppings. In a bowl, mix the sour cream, chives, salt, and pepper. Set aside. Cook the bacon bits if not using pre-cooked.

  3. 3

    Load the Potatoes

Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Cut a slit down the center of each potato and gently push the ends to open them up. Add butter, then top with the sour cream mixture, shredded cheese, and bacon bits.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the loaded potatoes warm with a side of your favorite drink such as apple juice or milk.
