Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Fruits
Wash all the fruits thoroughly under running water. Peel the papaya, banana, and mango. Remove the core from the apple and cut it into small cubes. Cut the papaya, banana, and mango into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Slice the Grapes and Pineapple
Cut grapes in half to make them easier to eat. If using a whole pineapple, peel and core it, then cut it into small chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain the syrup.
Mixing
- 3
Combine the Fruits
In a large mixing bowl, combine the prepared papaya, banana, apple, grapes, pineapple, and mango. Gently toss the fruits together to avoid mashing them.
- 4
Add Optional Ingredients
If desired, drizzle lime juice and honey over the fruit mixture. Toss gently to coat the fruits evenly. Add mint leaves for extra flavor, if desired.
Serving
- 5
Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the salpicon for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled in individual bowls or cups.
