Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; it's okay if there are some lumps.
- 2
Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can lightly grease it with butter or oil if desired.
- 3
Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the preheated skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown on both sides.
- 4
Serve
Serve the pancakes warm with a pat of butter and a drizzle of maple syrup.
