Make the Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk until just combined.

Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and pat into a 1-inch thick round. Cut out biscuits using a round cutter and place on a baking sheet.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
