Main Ingredients

For Grilled Sourdough

Method

Preparing the Shrimp Scampi

  1. 1

    Sauté the Garlic and Chili

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped Calabrian chili. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

  3. 3

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Allow it to reduce for about 4-5 minutes, letting the flavors meld together.

  4. 4

    Add Butter and Lemon

Stir in the butter until melted, then add the lemon juice. Mix well to create a creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Finish with Parsley

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley for freshness and color.

Grilling the Sourdough

  1. 6

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Brush and Grill the Bread

Brush both sides of the sourdough slices with olive oil. Place the slices on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and have grill marks.
