Crab Cake

Method

Crab Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the Maryland Blue Crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Form Cakes

Gently mix the ingredients until well combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much. Form the mixture into patties, approximately 3 inches in diameter.

  4. 4

    Prepare Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the crab cakes on the baking sheet.

  5. 5

    Drizzle Oil

Drizzle the olive oil over the crab cakes.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.

Rémoulade Preparation

  1. 7

    Mix Rémoulade Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped capers, lemon juice, hot sauce, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well blended.

  2. 8

    Chill Rémoulade

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve

Serve the baked crab cakes warm with a generous dollop of the chilled rémoulade on top.
