Method

Preparation of Chicken

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined. Place the chicken breasts into a sealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). During the last few minutes of cooking, sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken.

  4. 4

    Garnish the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the chicken and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Preparation of Sides

  1. 5

    Cook the Jasmine Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine jasmine rice and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Broccoli

While the rice is cooking, steam the broccoli until it is bright green and tender, about 5-7 minutes. You can use a steamer basket or microwave with a bit of water.
