Beef Patty

Toppings

Method

Beef Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assemble Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare Toppings

While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 6

    Toast Buns (optional)

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 7

    Build the Burger

Place one patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce and tomato. Cover with the top half of the bun.
