Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt. Add the fusilli pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Shrimp and Sauce

  1. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.

  2. 3

    Add Tomatoes and Wine

Stir in the halved grape tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes until they start to soften. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.

  3. 4

    Finish the Sauce

Add the chopped basil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for an additional minute.

Combining

  1. 5

    Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked fusilli pasta to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

  2. 6

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with additional basil if desired.
