1. Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Garlic and Tomatoes

While the pasta is cooking, mince the garlic and halve the cherry tomatoes.

4. Add Cherry Tomatoes

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.

5. Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the garlic and tomatoes. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes and lemon juice, if desired.

Finishing Touches

6. Add Fresh Basil and Parmesan

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until everything is evenly combined and the cheese is melted.

7. Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
