    Juicing the Blood Orange

    Cut the blood oranges in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or reamer until you have 1 cup of fresh blood orange juice.

    Preparing the Limonata

    If using store-bought limonata, pour 1 cup into a measuring cup. If making homemade limonata, mix 1 cup of fresh lemon juice with 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar, stirring until dissolved.

    Mixing Ingredients

    In a large pitcher, combine the blood orange juice, limonata, and sparkling water. Stir gently to combine.

    Sweetening (Optional)

    If preferred, add simple syrup or granulated sugar to the mixture, adjusting to taste. Stir well to dissolve.

    Pour the Italian soda into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with blood orange slices and fresh mint leaves.
