Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and return it to the pot. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to prevent sticking.

Making Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Cream

Pour in the heavy cream and stir. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese and Season

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well until the cheese melts.

Combining

  1. 7

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained pasta to the sauce in the skillet. Toss everything together to ensure the pasta is well coated in the sauce.

Garnishing

  1. 8

    Serve

Plate the pasta and garnish with halved cherry tomatoes and extra Parmesan cheese as desired.
