Preparation

  1. 1

    Prep the Ingredients

Rinse the grape tomatoes under cold water, and pat them dry with a clean towel. If desired, you can cut the tomatoes in half for easier eating.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mozzarella

Drain the perlini mozzarella balls and pat them dry with a paper towel. You can leave them whole or cut them into halves, depending on your preference.

  3. 3

    Prep the Basil

Wash the fresh basil leaves thoroughly and dry them gently. Tear the leaves into smaller pieces if they are large.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the perlini mozzarella balls, grape tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves. Toss gently to mix.

Make the Dressing

  1. 5

    Combine Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Serve

  1. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the balsamic dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.

  2. 7

    Plate and Enjoy

Transfer the Caprese salad to a serving platter or individual plates. Serve immediately and enjoy fresh.
