Method

Preparation of Salad Base

    Wash Lettuce

    Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or grit.

    Dry Lettuce

    Dry the lettuce using a salad spinner or by patting it gently with paper towels.

    Chop Lettuce

    Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

Preparation of Croutons

    Preheat Oven

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Cut Bread

    Cut the bread into cubes of about 1 inch.

    Toss Croutons

    In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.

    Prepare Baking Sheet

    Spread the coated bread cubes onto a baking sheet in a single layer.

    Bake Croutons

    Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through.

    Remove from the oven and let cool.
