Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to marinate.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Making the Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Rinse in cold water to remove excess starch and pat dry with a towel.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large deep fryer or heavy pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches and fry for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.

Preparing the Side Salad

  1. 5

    Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber.

  2. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.
