Brewing Instructions

    Mashing

    Heat 3 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C) and add Pilsner and Wheat Malts. Maintain the temperature at 152°F (67°C) for 60 minutes.

    Sparging

    After mashing, sparge with 3 gallons of water at 170°F (77°C) to collect wort.

    Boiling

    Bring the wort to a boil and add Hallertau hops. Boil for 60 minutes.

    Cooling

    Cool the wort quickly to 70°F (21°C) using a wort chiller.

    Fermentation

    Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel and pitch the Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast. Ferment at 68°F (20°C) for 1-2 weeks.

    Bottling

    After fermentation is complete, dissolve priming sugar in a small amount of water, add to the beer, and bottle. Let bottles carbonate for 1-2 weeks.
