Cooking Directions

1. Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into even strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch, then soak them in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes.

2. Dry the Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.

3. Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

4. Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

5. Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While still hot, season with salt, black pepper, and paprika to taste.

6. Serve

Serve the fries hot as a delicious snack or side dish.
