Spring Roll Filling

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and prepare all the vegetables. Julienne the carrot and cucumber, and slice the avocado.

  2. 2

    Soften Rice Paper Wrappers

Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10-15 seconds until softened. Remove and place on a clean surface.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Spring Rolls

On the bottom third of the softened rice paper, layer a few lettuce leaves, basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, carrot, cucumber, and avocado. Be careful not to overfill.

  4. 4

    Roll the Spring Rolls

Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom to the top to form a spring roll. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the spring rolls with a sweet-hot dipping sauce on the side for dipping.
