Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine coconut milk, soy sauce, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, minced garlic, minced ginger, minced lemongrass, brown sugar, and salt. Add the chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces, mix well, and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2
Prepare the Skewers
Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked skewers, leaving some space between each piece to ensure even cooking.
- 3
Grill the Satay
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- 4
Serve with Dipping Sauce
Serve the chicken satay hot, accompanied by a peanut dipping sauce, rice cakes, and pickled cucumbers on the side.
