Mashing

Mash Grains
Heat 5 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the crushed grains and hold the temperature at 152°F (67°C) for 60 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Sparge Grains
After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water to collect about 6.5 gallons of wort.
Boiling

Boil Wort
Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add Saaz hops and boil for 60 minutes.

Add Spices
With 15 minutes left in the boil, add Hallertau hops, coriander seeds, and orange peel.
Fermentation

Cool and Transfer
Cool the wort down to 70°F (21°C) and transfer to a fermentation vessel. Pitch the Saison yeast.

Ferment
Allow the beer to ferment at 70°F (21°C) for about 2 weeks or until fermentation is complete.
Bottling

Bottle Beer
After fermentation, bottle the beer with priming sugar and allow it to carbonate for 1-2 weeks.

Once carbonated, chill the bottles in the refrigerator and enjoy your Efflorescence Saison!
