Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2
Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- 5
Bake Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
