Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 2

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Dry the Fries

Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  5. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  6. 6

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Immediately sprinkle with salt.

  7. 7

    Add Flavor

Drizzle the fries with white truffle oil and toss them gently. Sprinkle with cracked black pepper and grated Parmesan cheese.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the truffle pom frites hot as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
