Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water. Set aside.

Rinse the Glass
Empty the ice water from the glass and rinse it with Herbsaint, swirling it around to coat the inside. Discard any excess.

Mix the Cocktail
In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Peychaud’s Bitters, and Angostura Bitters. Stir well until chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass without ice.

Garnish
Express the oils from a lemon peel over the drink and drop it in as a garnish.
