Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Dredge each breast in flour, shaking off any excess.
- 2
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
- 3
Make the Praline Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, and pecans. Stir until the mixture is bubbly and thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 4
Prepare the French Toast Mixture
In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- 5
Cook the French Toast
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt a little butter. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak briefly. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- 6
Assemble the Dish
Place two slices of French toast on a plate, top with a piece of fried chicken, and drizzle generously with the praline sauce. Garnish with additional candied pecans.
