Preparation
- 1
Rinse the Grains
In a fine-mesh strainer, rinse 1 cup of quinoa, 1 cup of brown rice, and 1 cup of white rice under cold running water for about 2-3 minutes. This helps remove any bitterness from the quinoa and excess starch from the rice.

Combine the Grains
Add the rinsed quinoa, brown rice, and white rice to the pot with the sautéed vegetables. Stir to combine.

Add Broth and Seasonings
Pour in 4 cups of vegetable broth. Then, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 0.5 teaspoons of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of cumin, and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Stir until everything is well combined.

Cook the Mixture
Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the grains are cooked through and the liquid is absorbed.
