Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Mixing Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.

  2. 4

    Cream Butter and Sugars

In another bowl, beat the unsalted butter until creamy. Add the granulated and brown sugars and continue to beat until light and fluffy.

  3. 5

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 6

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

  5. 7

    Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Baking

  1. 8

    Scoop the Dough

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.

  2. 9

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may look slightly underbaked.

  3. 10

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
