Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
- 2
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F / 232°C) for about 10 minutes.
- 3
Grill the Steak
Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved. During the last minute of cooking, add the fresh rosemary sprigs on top of the steaks for flavor.
- 4
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into long strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Rinse the cut fries in cold water to remove excess starch, then pat them dry with paper towels.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil reaches the correct temperature.
- 7
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add a handful of fries to the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 8
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt to taste. Repeat the frying process for the remaining potatoes.
