Beef Marinade

Method

Beef Marinade

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, peanut butter, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, and red chili flakes. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips. Add the beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Satay Sauce

  1. 3

    Make the Satay Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine coconut milk, peanut butter, soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, red chili flakes, and sesame oil. Stir until well blended and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Skewer the Beef

Take the marinated beef strips and thread them onto skewers. You can soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes prior to prevent burning.

  2. 5

    Grill the Beef

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the skewered beef for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Satay

Remove the beef skewers from the grill and serve them hot with the satay sauce drizzled on top. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and crushed peanuts.
