White Rice

Method

Pork

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Slice the pork loin into thin strips. This will help it cook quickly and evenly.

  2. 2

    Marinate

In a bowl, combine sliced pork with soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to coat the pork and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pork

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Add Green Pepper

Slice the green bell pepper into strips and add to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the peppers are tender but still crisp.

White Rice

  1. 5

    Rinse the Rice

Rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch and prevents the rice from being gummy.

  2. 6

    Cook the Rice

In a medium pot, combine rinsed rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.

  3. 7

    Simmer

Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 18-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.

  4. 8

    Fluff the Rice

Remove the pot from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
