Method
Filling Preparation
Mix the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Wonton Assembly
Fill the Wontons
Take a wonton wrapper and place a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing to seal. To create a more decorative shape, bring the two corners of the triangle together and pinch to seal. Repeat this process until all filling is used.
Cooking
Boil or Fry
To cook the wontons, you can either boil or fry them. For boiling, bring a pot of water to a boil, and cook the wontons for about 4-5 minutes or until they float to the surface. For frying, heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the wontons until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Dipping Sauce Preparation
Prepare the Dipping Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, and sesame seeds if using. Stir well to combine.
Serving
Serve the Wontons
Serve the cooked wontons hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
