Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

Slice the bell pepper, carrot, and onion into thin strips. Mince the garlic, and chop the celery into small pieces.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sear the Pork Chops

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Stir-Fry the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic, sliced bell pepper, carrot, onion, and chopped celery. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  3. 5

    Add Sauces and Broth

In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Pour this mixture over the vegetables in the skillet and stir well.

  4. 6

    Combine Everything

Return the seared pork chops to the skillet. Add the bean sprouts and snow peas. Stir everything together and let simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens and the pork is cooked through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Serve the Pork Chop Suey hot over steamed rice or noodles.
