Cook the Egg Foo Young
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour in a ladleful of the egg mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove and keep warm. Repeat with remaining mixture.
White Rice Preparation

Cook the Rice
In a saucepan, combine white rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18 minutes or until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
Gravy Sauce Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Gravy
In a saucepan, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth, then add to the saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
