White Rice
Method
Pork Marinade Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Pork
In a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, red chili flakes, and black pepper. Mix well. Add the pork tenderloin and ensure it is fully coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Cooking the Rice
- 2
Cook the White Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of white rice with 4 cups of water and 1 tsp of salt. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
Sautéing the Pork and Vegetables
- 3
Sauté the Pork
Heat 2 tbs of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade (discard the marinade) and slice it into thin strips. Add the pork to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
