Capitol Burger Ingredients

Method

Capitol Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Cook the fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy. Season with salt and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Burger Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two equal-sized patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a separate skillet until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread a generous amount of smoked onion mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, and the top bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Capitol Burger with a side of crispy fries.
