Method
Preparing the Burger
- 1
Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, divide the ground beef into two equal portions (8 oz each) and shape them into burger patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
- 2
- 3
Grill the Patties
In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, and place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Continue to cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese melts and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger
- 4
Prepare the Buns
While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 5
Layer the Ingredients
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread 2 tablespoons of jalapeno ranch dressing. Place the cooked burger patty with melted Swiss cheese on top, followed by 1 bacon slice, a generous handful of onion straws, and 2 tablespoons of salsa.
- 6
Complete the Burger
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
