Sandwich Components

Jalapeno Ranch Dressing

Method

Prepare the Jalapeno Ranch Dressing

  1. 1

    Mix the Base

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Stir until smooth and well mixed.

  2. 2

    Add Flavorings

Add diced jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried dill to the mixture. Stir until fully incorporated.

  3. 3

    Season

Season the dressing with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix again and set aside in the refrigerator to chill.

Prepare the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Cook the Chicken

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let it rest.

  2. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 6

    Toast the Bun

If desired, lightly toast the pretzel bun in the skillet or on the grill until golden brown.

  4. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the cooked chicken breast and place it on the bottom half of the pretzel bun. Layer with crispy bacon, a slice of pepper jack cheese, and a generous amount of onion straws. Drizzle with jalapeno ranch dressing and top with the other half of the bun.
