Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Form into four equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, split the burger buns and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer a lettuce leaf, a cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Directions

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
