Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your grill to medium heat. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and chopped rosemary to create a marinade. Rub the marinade all over the chicken halves, making sure to get under the skin.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Beer Can

Open the can of beer and drink or pour out half of it. You can also add some garlic or herbs to the beer can for extra flavor.

  3. 3

    Set Up the Grill

Place the beer can upright on the grill grates. Carefully place the chicken half onto the can, ensuring it stands upright. Make sure the chicken is stable and won't tip over.

  4. 4

    Grill the Chicken

Cover the grill and cook for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the chicken with its juices halfway through cooking.

  5. 5

    Rest and Serve

Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes and enjoy!
