BBQ Ribs

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the baby back ribs under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if necessary.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the ribs.

  3. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover with another piece of foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until the ribs are tender.

  4. 4

    Add BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Toss until well coated.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the ribs between the bones and serve with the coleslaw on the side.
