Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the wild and cultivated mushrooms with a damp cloth or brush. Slice larger mushrooms into smaller pieces for even cooking.

  3. 3

    Make Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  4. 4

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the mushrooms, garlic butter, fresh herbs, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the mushrooms are well coated.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Roast the Mushrooms

Spread the mushroom mixture onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until mushrooms are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through.

  2. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm as a side dish or over toasted bread.
