Prime Rib Sandwich Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Prime Rib
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- 2
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme.
- 3
Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil, then apply the seasoning mixture evenly over the entire roast.
- 4
Place the seasoned prime rib on a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- 5
Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue to roast for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- 6
Remove the prime rib from the oven and let it rest for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
- 7
Make Creamed Horseradish Sauce
While the beef is resting, prepare the creamed horseradish sauce.
- 8
In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, prepared horseradish, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth.
- 9
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the prime rib has rested, slice it thinly against the grain.
- 10
Slice the onion rolls in half and place a generous amount of sliced prime rib on the bottom half.
- 11
Top with a spoonful of the creamed horseradish sauce and then place the top half of the onion roll on the sandwich.
- 12
Repeat for the remaining rolls and serve immediately.
